The rpms on both my 33's seem a bit low when the blades are engaged-3450 is too low right?
Should I move the cable or adjust the governor spring?

The rpms go way over 4000 wide open under no load but drop to 3450 under a load. ????????

Manuel states the rpm when the blades are engaged should be 3400-3300..it also says to throttle down before dis-engaging the blades... I don't think it's good to have the rpm run up to 4000... Could be wrong... I have 2013 classic 33hp60 and I noticed that once I put g6 gator blades the engine does the same as yours... I'm going to be swthch the stock blades on to see if it still does it.. Wil see

High speed no load RPM's shouldn't be over 3750, Adjust the long phillips screw on the controls with spring on it to lower RPM's....... Once you get RPM's correct re-check loaded RPM's......

    Governor Adjustment...
Refer to the Dynamic Adjustment portion which is what Restorob refered to.

Running engine RPM's way above the recommendation moves the engine out of it's power range, It also causes erratic governor operation......

Set to factory specs then check loaded RPM's again as I mentioned.....
