What is a good hydro wb that has a floating deck over 30 inches? I prefer 36 inch but over 30 is fine. I would like to stay around 3k new or used. And is floating deck really that much better than fixed?

    Thanks!

Well for a 36" deck, a floating deck isn't really necessary. The deck width is so narrow that you really have to try to scalp anything.

The nice thing about a floating deck is the ease and speed at which you can change cutting heights. It's not so easy with a fixed deck.

I dunno if you'll be able to find a new 36" floater for 3K. Maybe a belt-driven mower of some sort but if you want a hydro you're probably going to have to buy used to stay in your budget. For example, my Turf Tracer HP 36" mower was 4600 new.
