I don't wanna start a stupid dodge vs ford debate coz NO ONE will ever get me to go back to ford. :realmad: :realmad: :realmad:

I have a 05 ram 5 speed. Whenever I put it in 3rd gear it grinds a LOT. What could the diagnosis be. It has about 3700 miles. I jsut wanted ur thinking on what it could be before I take it in the morning

    Thanks, Chris

    Had an f250

3 days after getting it (preowned) The carb went out. ($550)

3 days later the tranny went out. only had 20k on a rebuild

After it was all said and done I had about $2400 in it.

    Sold it for $500

Btw I think all the guys in the springs should have a lunch sometime. I will try to get everyone together sometime.

That's what you get for buying a wore out abused truck. I'd take your old Ford anyday over any new Dodge. Put a little $$$ into it and still be money ahead on something that I know will last the test of time, and not have to worry with warranty work.

    a 5 x 10 trailer? with a 32" Metro? You don't need cummin.
    I used to tow a 36" Metro on a 5 x10 with I-4 Ranger '94, 5 speed. I did for 2 years, my ranger still here eventhough I use my F 150 now to tow both 36" Metro and a 52" TTHP.
I would go with Ford or Toyota. Dodge has weird problems that I would not want to get into it.

I thought that is what it was going to be, 3700 miles are not many for that to be bad, it had to be defective from the factory I would think
