4"dcv replacement

    Had a fun day today. Some new kind of work for me. Though it was all pretty damn simple stuff. We took on a larger job then usual and replaced a shot 4" back flow assembly . Everything went smooth. Getting the old nuts off was a biatch but that was expected. Just sazalled about half of hem.

    Very nice. But why was it installed backwards?

    I was about to say "how you get it back in there?" until I saw the Vitaulic fittings. :clapping:

    (sure hope the codes don't require open stem and yoke isolation valves)

    The old device was a Watts 709

    The new one we installed is a Wilkins 350 which we had wilkins spec the length for us so we could just plop her right in

    Nice work. I bet there were some tense moments when you were turning the water back on.
