I own a 48" Lesco belt wb, with a 15 hp kawa engine. I would like to know if I could get a velke attached to it and if so how well will the velke do? I have done a search on this topic however my dealer told me that the belt machines wont handle the velke.

If I was to get one I was thinking about a 2 wheeler. any sugestions would be welcome.

thanks SDF250, I was thinking that the 15 hp engine would be enough power.

George, I have two of these machines, and they are built like tanks! Very good mowers, and by the way, they pull a sulkie like a champ!! I use the jungle jims jungle wheels and it is a perfect match. When you get a sulkie, just do not get one with the casters like the front of the mower. These work best with hydro machines. The only sulky Lesco offers is made this way, so that's why they told you what they did. I cut 7 soccer fields, and I do it in TOP GEAR! I could not take this job without my wheels! They only cost around 200 bucks, and you will make that back in just a few weeks with the increased productivity.

I forgot to mention, that I weigh 215 and it pulls me around like it's nothing! I haven't burned or stretched ANY belts. 3rd season with the stock set.

lakegastonla, thank you for your input. It is nice to find someone that has the same machine. Just wondering do you run your lesco in 5th gear?

I have my sulky behind the 36" belt and 48" hydro. Both pull it around just fine. I use the 2 wheel hydro type on both mowers. I like always being behind the machine and not jackknifing. You never end up stretched out to keep your hands on the bars.
