Can I get a 48" Bobcat WalkBehind on a 4x8 utility trailer ? I need to rent on for some land we own out in the country.

There is usually about a quarter inch more (maybe more) in width than cutting width. So probably not, but if it does it will be very tight.

I was thinking I could place it on an angle (ie not facing straight forward) to make it fit.
Otherwise I'll have to try to rent/borrow a 5 foot wide trailer

you should be able to put it in side ways. if has no sides it will be easy, if it has short sides it will work, high sides then it might not.

I don't remember the exact width of the 48" I owned, but it just squeezed between the wheel wells of the pickup. I think you could load it at an angle and let the handles stick out the back/side.
