Here is a job I decided to take some pics of to show. A few houses down from my last job. I was curious when I saw all the pallets of pavers. Going to be a Beer garden and motel. On a road base, compacted with big equipment that cost 8000.00 to bring in for a day. No sand the boss said. Thats him cutting. Thought you would like to see it just cuz of the very size of it.

His reasoning for wanting to set right on gravel and not sand was............?

Did he only have 2 men the entire duration of the job?

I did not ask his reasoning, not on gravel, on roadbase, he just said anymore than one inch of sand and it will move. That is Juan there adding one inch of sand under each individual paver he puts down. Grabs a handfull out of the bucket, throws it down, levels it out with a drywall putty knife, sets his paver, whacks it with that rubber mallet.
Dunno that was a Sunday and the boss is one of the workers the guy cutting.

because it is faster and cheaper, but i am sure he has some B.S. reason why he did it.
