I gave an estimate today for a housing complex that sits on 5 acres of land. Its almost all flat, and pretty dry. I know its hard to guess without looking, but i am wondering how far off i am. I quoted him $350 per cut. This includes trimming a blowing. Without getting into, how much does it cost me to run per day, what the ecomony here is like, am i a scrub, yada yada, is this price , acre for acre, an outrageous number?

Figure in CT to cut an acre would run about 75 so 350 to 375 sounds about right. You could maybe discount the 350 a little bit since you're there. Figure 75 to load and unload plus travel time for 1 acre maybe you would want to charge about 68 per acre since you're there.

My question is do you really have 5 acres of turf to mow?

Depends on how many units and trimming there is in the complex.

BDS, what are you planning on mowing it with??? How long do you figure it will take, how much trimming/blowing????
