Who builds a good 21 inch mower that does cut heights of 5 inches or more.

Most of the Honda's only go to 4 inches and the Toros 4.25. I need a 21 inch that will cut 5 to 6 inches. I have a client who has a Toro but i don't think they make them anymore that she says goes to 5.5 inches and when you step on her lawn it looks great but then your feet disappear. Very nice lush lawn no irrigation and holds up to heat, draught and brown spot like NO other. I want to start mowing everything at 5 inches and my comercial Wrights will do it but my commercial Honda 21 inch will not soo..............

At that height you should be looking at a Sarlo. Pricey but worth it.

They have big wheels but their site makes no mention of cutting height.

I think you're going to find it will open a can of worms. Have you discussed this with your customers? Even if they all said yes, you'll still have some lawns that just won't cut right at 5in. I know I'd never be able to cut my lawn that long and have it look good.

Your in PA - me in KY totally different soils, weather, etc. When the yard is thick from falls seedings and care you can grow some very thick fescue that looks great from the street and then you walk up to it and it looks even better but it is 5 inches and because it is so consistent it does not look so high until you step into it. This is the ultimate yard for KY in the summer. It has to be that high to withstand the 115 heat indexs and lack of water. Once you get it there then it is easy. With the right mower. I've been thinking about putting about an inch tread of an on tire and glueing it to my current tires on my commercial honda 216.

I would question the lift ability of any 21. Any 32 fixed deck can be adjusted and spaced that high.

Try some larger Wheels on your current mower?

I have a husqvarna 21" and it cuts at 5" which I use for rough mowing. There's a real problem with lack of suction at that height so an even cut is hard to achieve.

I didn't look at your location. None the less, we have thick full lush green lawns too. :D
