I need to give an estimate to plant 50 junipers. The pot size of the plants are only 6 inches deep and 4 inches wide. The customer will provide the soil and peatmoss. I was think $7.50 each plant which totals $375. Thoughts on the bid.

    @$375, the job shouldn't take more then 6-7man hrs. thats $53.50 - $62.50 per man/hr. seems resonable.

Depending on the location of the site, and soil type/ condition, one man could plant 50 quart Junipers in an hour and a half. Two should be done in 45 mins to an hour. Are you supplying the plants as well? What's your raw cost on the Junipers? I would think you are about 3-400.00 low..

I think $10 per plant would be too high, thats $500. $8 per plant may work, thats $400

how much are your plants? I get mine for $3.95 for 1 gal bar harbor juniper and sell at retail for $5.95 each. That's what they cost at the nursery. Alot of the cost is the extreme steepness of the bank they are to be planted in. After tax on the plants I'm only making $3 and change per plant for install labor and $2 each on the material.

the plants are already paid for. so $400 would be soley for the labor.
