well this is on one of my customers kids go kart its old a 87 according to the numbers. but anyways. it keeps flooding and im stumped as to why, ive cleaned everything 3 times now, i had it running fine, then went to tinkerin with it some to make it faster, then to crap, fixed what i changed and still doing it, if it sits and is ready to start again, it will fire right up, havent been able to get it set right to keep it running and once it dies there is plenty of gas sitting in the carb. any ideas? its driving me nuts. :help:

    1. If it's a "bowl" carb, check the float level and/or needle valve. If the float is set too high or the needle valve isn't seating, it will cause the engine to run rich and flood.

    2. If it's a "Vacu-jet" carb, replace the pump diaphram. Make sure you use the correct one.

    3. In both cases: Check to make sure the Needle Adjusters don't have their tips broken off.
