60-30-10 Rule

    If you are sending out advertising mailers remember the 60-30-10 rule. 60% of success in direct mailing lies in using the right mailing list, 30% depends on making the right offer, and 10% depends upon your creative package.

    Great information Gopher. I think people try something and it does not work and they just give up. We should always evaluate our successes and failures. Maybe the advertisement just needed some tweaking. Just my .02

    Repetition is key for mailers/flyers. Hit the same places several times per year. When they need you , they will have a fresh advertisment in their hands. When the current guys screws up, they will have a fresh flyer in their hands.

    If something goes wrong, they won't remember who you are, just remember that they threw "somebodys" flyer away a couple months ago.

    Keep sending them "stuff" over and over again. Brand yourself in their mind!
