Flood waters are beginning to go down, but the mosquito population is now seven times higher than normal. We received four requests today for mosquito spraying.

Mosquito control: 'knockdown product' (Crosscheck?) plus "Mosquito Barrier"? (garlic)

Ric -- or anybody else in mosquito prone environments, please help. (I know you Minnesota guys use shotguns, as it's the State bird).

BTW we always spray mosquitoes at dawn or at dusk. Spraying everything 20 feet high and lower with Crosscheck, but sometimes with Mosquito Barrier at about 400 - 500 psi w/ J-D9 gun. Always charging a premium cuz it's a special trip.

    rscvp, thanks

I have the feeling american that you will see more skeeters down in flooded (or, now, standing water) Iowa that we will see up here in so. MN - we have gotten significant rainfall but not much flooding to create the standing water like you guys have.

Hope you knock the dickens out of the little buggers!

Cyonara 9.7 is a great product that has been giving 3 weeks of residual. This is during normal environmental conditions. If it rains every day then the time has been lessened. Applied through a mister or mist blower works best. It's also cost effective.

I am not sure about the crosscheck residual but the garlic will attract ITALIANS :laugh::laugh:

I need to spray our yard again. We had over a foot of rain the past month, so the skeeter population has returned, but not as bad. I made a 2nd spray today for a customer. (I used Crosscheck plus Mosquito Barrier) She said Mosquito Barrier lasted very well for at least 3 weeks.
