It may appear so...to the untrained eye....
    Granted....I work 3 days a week...and get paid for 5...
But..those are some action packed work days...
I'm really enjoying my sabbatical ......after running a mower shop for 10 years...:weightlifter:

When you can keep all the tools...trucks..and eqpt .....
Needed to operate a company with 45 employees ...
    Running and in working condition...
You can cut your own deal....too....

Well..I got started on the deck yesterday...
The mulch kit really did a number on the deck..
3 inches of dirt and leaves atop each of the mulching baffles...
I fixed the left side hole in the side of the deck...and removed the idler..
cut a new piece of 3/16 plate to mount the idler assy to..
I'm changing it to spring and pivot setup I salvaged off an old Encore walkbehind..

why is widening the trailer not an option? outriggers are a piece of cake to build.

    Widen the gate..
Cut and move 14 uprights....all attatched with expanded metal..
    Move the fenders..
    Repaint the trailer..
No to mention the cost of the angle iron needed to do it right..
Much easier and quicker to hinge the discharge end of the deck..

Come to think of it the axle might not be wide enough. you could always remove the sides for the length of the mower and keep the big mower at the back. the gate woudl not really need widened only on the bottom or top where it latches to the trailer. your wheels need to be on the gate, not the width of the deck.

just an idea. for a time i pulled my mower on a flat bed till i got a wider trailer.

Looking good. The whole thing makes sense when you see the whole picture. The deck needed plenty of work. With some time and plates in place it will once again be a decent deck.

    Welds are looking good.

Well..got a little more done on the deck..
I didnt like the 6 sided belt or the idler setup that came on the 72 in deck..
So...I looked around and found some belts that I had alot of..and configured the Encore idler arm with the new belt on the deck...and tacked everything in place..
I had to use a flat idler pully instead of the vee pully to switch from the 6 sided Snapper style belt..
I had a bunch of 134 in factory kevlar belts I got from a landscaper that went out of business..
I figured...As long as I couldnt use a factory belt...a few spares would be the smart move,,,
I used a heavy duty turnbuckle for my tensioner...
