do you need a 8.5 wide trailer to haul a car

i was looking at the 8 footer but if i have to get the 8.5 to fit a car in there i might have to go with the 8.5

the car is 16' long not sure how wide it is. it's a 71 challenger

i'd rather get the 8 just for ease of driving

ask how many riders you can fit.

grassmaster, I think the reason for 8.5 is so you can open the car doors inside the trailer easier, not positive though. I have been looking for one for a sometime now to transport my 71 C10. And every where I look 8.5 is always the standard for in closed car haulers. I do not know if that helped you out or not ? hopefully it did.

This is basically the right answer. I can put my 71 Demon in an 8 ft. trailer but it is not as wide as your E body. 8 1/2 is the way to go. " Not only am I a lawn guy, but also the President of Michigan's largest Mopar club"
