I have an 84 dodge power wagon, I just love this truck, but it stalls at will. my mechanic says it's a fuel problem. so far the fuel tank has been dropped twice, the carb rebuilt, the fuel filters changed, new fuel pump, and anything else related to the fuel system. I was wondering if anybody else has ever had a problem with an older dodges fuel system, and what solved the problem

I personally think its an ignition problem, but what do i really know.

Is your float ajusted correct? Those old mopars also had a CDI type box.

I had a similiar problem with my 88 ram with a 318. I would be driving and for no reason it would just cut out. I got screwed taking it to a small shop. They ran all kinds of tests but couldnt pin point the problem. I got frustrated and took it to a Dodge dealership and had a mechanic chek it out there. turned out to be a coil. problem was diagnosed in about 10 minutes. For lots of good dodge info try www.allpar.com. You may also want to try and check for codes check this link as well http://www.allpar.com/fix/stall.html
    Hope this helps
