98 chevy 1ton

    Im looking at a 98 Chevy 1ton flat bed. itsa 350 gasser with 155k miles on it. Asking 6k for it, anything wrong with this model year? Is it worth it?

    It's worth it ONLY if it has 4WD, if not then maybe $4500, I mean it's got alot of miles, the only think it's got going for it is it's a newer truck.

    I have a '99 with the same engine that I bought brand new. I haven't had to do much to it, other than the usual PM. This year, small things have started to go, did the water pump, the fuel pump, and alternator in the last few months. Mine has far less mileage, just about 42K. To be honest, I would pass on that truck, I would be pretty certain you would be looking at some larger repairs very soon. To give you an idea of value, I've been kicking around the idea of selling mine, I'm looking to get 16K with the 8'6" Western plow.
