I was mowing before, all the sudden I was mowing a hill not real steep, anyways when I went forward up the hill the machine lost power as if it was going to stall, so I kept going for a minuet or two and it got worse. Any ideas machine is a 99 lazer with 27 kohler. Thanks

Also it only happened when the blades are engaged as of what I can gather,

Lets start with the obvious first. How full was the fuel tank? When was the last time the fuel filter was changed? How many hours on the machine?

Full tank of fuel, filter was replaced last year, maybe ive put 20 hours on it since, the machine has just under 5400 hours, motor was rebuilt about 1500 or so ago

Does the mower still operate ok on level ground ?
Remove and drain fuel filter, looking for water or trash.
Check sparkplugs, if fouled, check air filter.
Make sure throttle cable goes to full throttle
    Adjust governor
