    After i turned off the main and drained the system this is what i got

    Always leave yourself plenty of room to work with...

    Rocks were poured in later for neatness

    A truly devoted child would buy a deeper valve box :p
     
  4. One good thing about being a Texan on Father's Day is you can get away with 6" valve boxes.

    6inch=plenty for my applications..but thanks for your input on costing more money...

    You're contradicting yourself - those 6" boxes you use are basically an extension box.

    Oh the previous poster lead to believe me that he was talking about anything bigger than a 6".....

    IMHO- 6 is plenty...I work on many different accounts over 25 some almost 30 years old with a sturdy 6".NO problems...Its the lay of the land around here for contractors...10" is for wells and electrical/cable.....Why dig a bigger hole and use a more $$ box?If it works fine, You can bet I will be using it...

    I mean honestly you all seem to splitting irrigation HAIRS on old man buckner's back.....Give it a rest...Some Use one product some use an other...
    I could of sworn some of you felt that insulting other peoples work was unprofessional?

    is this board a paradox?
