Getting under the fence and looking for the pvc sleeve...The landscrapers put the pvc 8 inches under concrete and 6 inches in the driveway..After a little hand work we found it duct tapped...

    Getting under the fence..

I am having problems with my image hosting..but turn you head sideways for this one..The landscrapers left leaves, branches, over pour close to the foundation..Check out the rose planting I had to move a little...
The trench was about 9 inches..The digging was ok..

The digging was decent here..construction fill....minor boulders ect..
I would of have to pull this if the sleeve was'nt there.

You can barely see the 2 1/2 inch pvc sleve...If the driveway was a little wider I might of never found the sleeve..With the 13 strand wire
    [IMG]

where the pvc comes out on the other side...6 inches inside the driveway..But at least it was there.

Different angle of the other side of sleeve.

A few feet down on the opposite side of driveway Rick feeds the 7 strand and main through the sleeve..This kid is 17 years old...Has been around irrigation since he was 9..His clean up is top notch....Worst part about it he thinks its easy and everyone can do it...I love working with the boss's son....

The feed on the other side of walkway...the sleeve was shallow and made out of drain pipe..regardless it was there and saved me time and labor..

This is why i sometimes I work a little harder so lines aren't cut..Although they are pvc 1 1/4 sleeves with 220/cable/Internet/phone in them..The kid i was with wanted me to pull the main and wire up the hill to the soon to be manifold..I flat out said no..I had a feeling the utilities weren't that deep..I broke up the compacted dirt with the blade...I feel a tug. This was during my first run with out the vibrate...I knew right then and there it was electric ect...

    The final clean up
    [IMG]

This kid I work with has a nack for a perfect clean up..His old man had him digging and cleaning up since he was a younging.....

    flawless
    [IMG]

    Ricky's clean up
    [IMG]

And then the trench to the manifold up on the hill..we dug this 14 inches deep in most places..Removed an old chain, tons of branches thrown in by the landscaper.Ahh The joys!

more pics to come after i eat and shower..

this was the last of our hand work for the day...This digging was homerun..2 guys 1 hr 85 feet trenched and backfilled/cleaned up..

    different angle of the trench...

This is a salt water pool...They are becoming popular....No chlorine..
I even tasted it to confirm....and its salty!

    A textbook trench...

The trench goes all the way down to the end of the plantings...

The capt! and all his glory!

a pic from the end of the trench
    [IMG]

you would never know we were there only 3 hours later..

    a very nice cobblestone edge...

I am a stickler if anyone on the job suffocates the plantings...its my Job to make sure they dont suffer anymore....always keep the dirt off the pedals if possible...

    the final cleanup...

Tilt your head to view this healthy clean up

BTW... I remember the old days when Brea was just a wide spot in the canyon road... no Fwy 57, no butt to cheek homes... mostly some oil wells and ranches. :)

Can you ship the Owner's kid up north for a while? Gotta like a kid that'll do a nice clean up.
