A rough few days with my dog

    I hate to hear of dogs in pain or dying. Like all the rest, Ill be out for a bit when mine go.

    Just got off the phone with my brother in Montana. He is putting down his black lab, Porter, in the morning. 13 years old. We had him in my brother's wedding with a black bow tie on. He's a great part of the family.

    Tears.....they devote their lives to us. We've waited a year before we've gotten another, so we don't imprint what was lost on a dog that was new to our family.

    I've was cryin' on the phone with him. Now I'm drinkin' a bottle of wine to celebrate him. Great dog. He had been anticipating this for about a year, and got another black lab a year ago or so.

    I get more sappy when a pet dies than a person.
