One of my lawn cutomers is building a new home. The future build site is just a bit under 5 acres. He asked if I could bushog the property for him. One of my friends that I also do a fair amount of business with has the equipment to do the job, so I said "sure I can get that taken care of for you". I know nothing about bushog pricing-what is the fair or usual amount of mark up on this type of work? I know my friend always bids jobs fairly (usually way too low if you ask me). I want to make some money off of the deal since I got the work lined up, but don't want to gouge the guy (he's a really good customer). My friend will give me an estimate tomorrow so I'll have more info then, but is there an average percentage...?

    Thanks, Rick

How about 15%? I just subbed a sod job. My cost was $2,670.00 I priced it at $3,000.00

That isn't bad since all I did was set the irrigation.

I agree with the above, 15% is a very fair markup.
