I am looking for a seed mix, that will germinate well in PH 4-6. As well as require the minimum care and quick germination. Any ideas? The soil in my area (Ontario) seems to always be acidic. Lime takes too long....and "normal" seed (rye, blue, fescue) doesn't germinate well. Also something that might resist insects.

    Thanks in advance, Don

If you have acidic soil, then lime. Do a soil test, correct the pH according to test results, and then apply 10-15lbs/ k every year to maintain proper pH.
