acsess road

    i need a little info here, what kind and how deep would you have to make a graval road to support a 55-60K truck. the current pans only call for 6" of compacted 203 and that doesnt seem like enough.

    well if you strip the top soil why would that not be fine?

    I would go with an 18" base for that kind of weight. Typical vehicular applications call for 8"-12" of compacted stone compacted to 98% proctor.

    It depends on the type of soil.

    if its just a road to get a few trucks in then let them drive on dry ground. If it's a road that will be used year round 6-8" of 3A modified will do the trick

    what are you going to be using to compact it with?

    im not putting the road in it will be a second entance to a new devolepment that is being built. it will be permant and will be used for fire trucks only in the event that for some reason we cant use the main entrance.
