Ok so i had to replace the gasket on my kawasaki engine. It came off of a exmark 36 inch tthp/ hydro/ 15 hp 2002 model. The gasket i replaced was on the oil pan (at least thats what i call it) I put it on and it keeps a good seal but when i start the mower the engine rpms sky rocket. I have the gas all the way down. I talked to a mechanic at a local dealer and he saidf he thought it would have to do with adju8sting the governor. Can anyone tell me how to adjust the governor? I need help and if you need more information just ask for it. Thanks

    What engine model is it?

If its a v-twin take off the carb cover and there is a spring and a cable running to the governer, usually when the spring breaks or was never put on it will run with high RPM's...
