Adjusting Govoners

    Any know how to adjust full throttle governed speed on the briggs vanguards. Mines supposed to be set at 3600 but running a little above 3450

    Man, I wish I knew. I would run it by a shop and have them adjust it to 3600. They have an electronic display that shows the rpm level. Probably woudln't cost much either.

    i dont have a briggs but there really self explanitory but there all different its usually a screw by the carb that limits the carb from opening to far...

    bring it to a shop carbs arnt something you want to play with unless you know what you are doing

    You can buy a wire tach for about $12.00, usually you can bend the arm that lengthens the governer spring to increase a little or drill another hole farther away on some engines.
