I work with my uncle mainly just mowing we do mulch work too but try to keep that to a minimum. We mow 65 lawns a week part time, everything from 1/4 acre lots to 2 acre lots. I use a 36" 54" and 61" WBs, so obviously I can get the job done.. with summer rolling around I want to cut full time and that means picking up more lawns.. alot more. my questions is how should I go about doing this? the lawns I do now are all word of mouth, I cut in large 'typical' suburban areas dominated by "big guys" with ztrs so theres pretty high competition. Any ideas would be appreciated and im sorry if this has been covered before or a typical "newb" question but I just stumbled onto this forum and ive been reading what you guys have to say for the past couple hours.

Hey, With my customers, i send them a letter saying that i would give them a free mow for every yearly account get from her referral. I enclose like 10 or 15 business cards in the envelope so she can give them to people who want them. Got me 5 new accounts from one lady.

Done the same as Petr. with good results. For some of my good customers I'll give gift certificates from local restaurants.
