Have any of you had good success advertising on television? I'm sure in some of the bigger markets its not very cost effective, but in some of the more "localized" areas airtime is relatively cheap.

    Any input is greatly appreciated.

Dont know anyone who's done this. I suppose it might work in a SMALL area. One guy around me, he cut Darrell Green's lawn from the Washington Redskins. He got 'ol Darrell to do a testimonial in a newspaper ad for him. I guess that probably looked good to some...

I plan on coming up with one to run on cable here in my area. I'd like some feedback too....

    Hi grimace,

Here is a quote from Liberty Lawn Care from this post.

"EFFECTIVE TV ADVERTISING: I would suggest cable rather than affliate TV (ABC, NBC, CBS etc.) It's MUCH cheaper. Try HGTV, DIY Network, SPIKE TV (Men's Channel with guy stuff, 4x4 Trucks, outdoor activities, fix-it shows) WWF, TNN, TLC and yes Lifetime & Oxygen (Television for women - If hubby is out playing golf & admiring the putting green instead of his own lawn, women will call!) Try to schedule your commercial during programs such as Weekend warriors, While you were Out, Trading Spaces, Landscape Design, Mail Call, WWE Raw etc. Shows that are about landscaping or home improvement are best."
