I currently mow yards and would like to expand into irrigation. I know a guy in town who has an lawn irrigation company that would let me work with him to learn hands on so I plan on taking advantage of that.

What I would like to know is are there any online programs or good books I could study over the winter to get going on this? I would like to learn as much as possible this winter.

    Thanks for any help!

I don't know if it's been up-graded, but a great primer for me was:

If you have the skills as a diagnostician, repair work is the surest income. Installers come and go. Repair work is forever.

It's not as glamerous or easy as trade magazines make it out to be. Money can be made but it can br hard work, especially on your body.

Most of you don't believe me, but I ACTUALLY did installs all by my self for a few years! I'd come home sore and tired, and face doing billing in the evening or blowing the weekend away. It was not long until a light came on in my pea brain: employees, young ones. :clapping: :waving:
