I have a rather large yard. I bought a traditional rider, and I'm finding that I spend way too much time turning, etc. This mower will only be used for use by me at home. I average 25-30 hours/year on my JD. I would like to think if I made this kind of investment it would probably last for the most part of my life.

What is the prices of the Exmark zero turns (price range)?

What kind of life expectancy do they have?

    Any other advice?

    Thanks

    Firescoby,

The Z's range between $5299 and around $12,000 for the big diesel model. For your application I would look at the Lazer CT, Lazer HP and possibly even the Lazer Z.

Any of these models will probably out live you and I considering the number of hours youÂ’re putting on your current mower. As a general rule if you jumping from a lawn tractor to a Lazer Z, HP, CT etc. of the same cutting width you cut your time in 1/2-1/3 pretty easily. That means you looking at about 15 hours per year on a machine that in many cases gets used and abused for 2000 hours or the course of 2 or 3 years in many cases.

Please let me know if I can be of any further assistance.

    Thank you,

    Terry
