hi , Even though there is a topic listed similar to this currently .IMO my experiences may be valuable to all .
    Trailer
Deck height low 13 --15 inch
    mid level 15-- 17 inch
    high 17--20 inch

Loading of mowers or low equipment etc
The object is to have a low deck height .
    This reduces the ramp length
    Ramps become easier to lift
    A short ramp weighs less
Less risk of mower falling of ramp
Less risk of ramp bending if it is as short as needed

Remember ramp length goes together with deck height , eg the higher the trailer deck the longer the ramp required

Low height all mowers will load
Mid only a few mowers will be a problem
high definitely will cause some issues

As u realise this will vary a huge amount between mower brands

13 inch deck height and 4 1/2 ft ramp ,less than 1/2 inch clearance under a walker mower

Having a trailer deck at 13 inches can cause issues of ground clearance when going up and down an entrance to a steep driveway
Deck hieght of say 15 inches seems most practical

Remember this applies to single axle trailer no more than 12 feet long
On a dual axle 14/ 16 feet long also
Longer than 16 feet and the deck will have to be raised a little more .
