Ok I'm in the market for a 48 walkl-behind and the price of the belt drive scag is real inticing (approx. 2,700). I mow about 17 yards a week by myself and the troy bilt 33' isn't going to cut it for too much longer. Is there any other mower for that price that I should be looking at instead of the SCAG?

He have two Scag Tiger Cubs and I would recommend a Scag. They will last a long time and it you can afford it get a hydro walkbehind.

I've had my Scag 48 belt drive for 8 years and it still runs like new. It's a great mower for the money. I only use it on steep slopes where the ZTR can't go, but it has paid for itself many times over.

If you decide to invest in one, get at least 17 HP for the 48 deck. Mine has the Kawasaki 14 single and there are times that I could use a little more power.

u could look @ lesco mowers, their 48'' belt sells for $2,500.... i'm not sure how many votes u'de get for lesco mowers, but their on the cheap side and since ur a fairly new start up business it would be perfect....
