The mower working fine now but after I start using it for a couple of weeks I start having problems. I will post it in the mechanic and repair section hopefully someone can explain the issue to me. (update) I just spoke with a Manager from Toro and no help from her either. I asked her if I could get it replace and she said "we don't replace or refund" I'm VERY disappointed in Toro.

Research "Lemon Laws" as far as I know if you have the same issue 3 times within a year then it has to be replaced by law. Knew a lady who had purchased new Grand AM & it was end of model year, when new model years were abt to come out. She had it in the shop 3 times for same issue & they replaced it with the new model year cuz they did not have anymore of her year. So she ended up with new model year for the price of the old model year that was discounted to make room for the new ones coming to the lot.

Once you research what the Lemon Law says & if it applies to your situation, then call dealer & tell them you spoke to Lemon Law Attorney & your mower needs to be replaced & if you have to you will retain the attorney to figure out if Toro or Dealer is responsible for replacing.

Did you ever post in the repair section of lawn site? Sometimes it can be easier just to try to find someone that repair stuff and they can help you. There are a lot of us shade tree mechanics around.

Ed if I read his posts right, he has had it to the dealer twice to be repaired for this issue. Now it is third time with same issue. Might be tough fix if the dealer can't even figure it out!

Yup, that's my online diagnosis as well.

Driving it to the dealer probably jiggled it enough that it worked by the time you got it there.

If you know absolutely nothing about mowers here's what you can do. Look over the motor. somewhere is one black wire connected to the motor with a spade connector. Unplug it and let it just hang there. The mower won't die again. Even when you turn it off. Plug it bck in to shut off the mower.

If you do know a little about equipment, or like me have a nephew that does, it's probably the seat switch. Either you're not heavy enough or there's grass built up in it.
The seat switch has to close before you can engage the blades or move forward.

This is pure speculation as I've never seen a timemaster. I avoid all that consumer grade crap.

Thanks for the heads-up on Toro Timemaster... I was debating whether to get one or not and now I'm sure...

Sometimes when you spread the word about a dirtball company and get their well deserved reputation a little better known,,, you've pretty much done everything you can do...

I still like the Honda Engines anyways... :)
