I just got a new trailer a 21 footer. This replaces the 5 x 8 I had been using for the past 3 years. I got a really good deal on it. It is only 2 yrs old and got it for $1000. It has the ramp and four foot mesh sides. Anyway, my question is: I have a 100 gal. lesco sprayer on the back of the truck. Should I a: put the sprayer on the 21 footer or on the 5 x 8? I am leaning to the 5 x 8. What do you all think?

Why not leave it on the truck?

You will always have it with you when in tow with the 5 x8 or the 21' footer.
Also it might make your trailers tongue heavy depending upon where you mount it.

Well I am only using the tank 4 times per year. And with gas prices as high as they are I really don't need to have the extra weight on the truck. Plus my truck is only a silverado 1500. So, if I mount the tank in the middle of the 5x8 the weight on the tounge would not be a factor.

I'd do that or sell the 5x8 and the 5 times a year you use the sprayer put it in your truck.

Dragging around a 21' trailer is no gas saver as well if you don't need it. Do you need the 21 footer?

I have a 20' trailer I was using for both my tractor and SuperZ. After a while, I got so tired of dragging that 20 footer for one ztr, I went and bought a 7'x14' just for my maintenance trips. I only use the big one for the tractor and large hauling (200 pine straw bales, etc.).

If you don't need the 21 footer, I wouldn't commit the 5'x8' to the sprayer just yet. You may find you like it more than you think.:)

I have outgrown the 8'. The 21' I will hopefully grow into.

A loaded 21 foot trailer will kill a 1500 chevy. I would be more worried with how you are going to tow this trailer loaded.
