I de-thatched my lawn yesterday with a 16" de-thatching blade and raked up all of the dead grass...I plan to put the blue bag Scotts down before the weed seed germinates which has the Crabgrass preventer/pre-emergent. This is our 3rd season in this home and we have never aerated so I thought that it would be a good idea.

    1. I plan to use a core aerator...is it best to leave the cores on the ground or to rake them up?

    2. Should I apply the Scotts blue bag before or after aeration?
