Any one have any experience using a tractor with a 3 pt hitch mounted aerator? If so......how did you like it and what size property did you use it or decide it was time to use it.

    Thanks, Finn

Kubota BX1500 & Lesco 48" 3 point. I aerate properties from 5k to 4 acres. I used to pull the Lesco with a Z.. got tired of that real quick and purchased the Kubota.

A local rental house has one that I will use from time to time. It's a JD with a 4' Ryan.

I used to not sell much aerating because I hated to use those small aerators. In my case I bought the tractor first and then the aerator. The first week I owned it I did $6000 worth of aerating. The 3 point hitch made it a profitable job to do.

We use a 60 inch woods/gill aerator on a kubota b-7500. It doe's a fantastic job. It's great for athletic fields and large open lawns. For lawn under 10000 sq. ft. we use the walk behind, too many small gates and small lawn areas to work the tractor. The lesco 3 pt. aerator is manufactured by millcreek, it's a decent machine, We purchased the woods because it's heavy, heavy, duty! We can put 1000 #s in the weight tray!

Kubota B7500 with a 60" millcreek. The best of the best. The frame is 1.5" solid and I mean solid steel. Mine weights in at 1150 pounds with the weights I have on it. You can make a killing with it. 3.5 times the price to cut the lawn. Usually it takes just a little less than twice the time to cut the grass. But you didn't have to do anything other than ride the tractor.

I bought mine used for $275 and put $75 in to it. Sand blasted it, made new feet for it, painted it and replaced all the bushing in it.

New 60" millcreek 3 pt with out the weights costs $1600. Add another $600 or so for the weights.

There is nothing more productive than an aerator that is 3 point...hands down.
