Bought a used air compressor to put in my box truck ( to change blades, air up tires, etc.) Works good & is small enough not to get in the way ( the same size as what trim guys use on new home construction).
Just wondering if any of u guys use a different source of power for this set up. Of course I can run extension cords out to the house, but I know you can buy a plug for the cigarette lighter that converts to a 120 volt plug in. I'd like to use it out in the field if necessay without running cords out everywhere. Any ideas.??

i got a 750 watt inverter wired directly to the battery with 3 ac outlets on it. check wattage of compressor first. i wouldnt go through lighter plug with something as big as a compressor

My dad has a 1,000 watt inverter in his truck with 2 outlets. Works great!

I have a similar set up on my old ford truck. Mine is home made however, but either way it works any tool you could imagine.
