Hey people, I have an 01 F350 7.3 powerstroke. Our plow driver bent the front bumper on it and I was thinking of taking it off and having it straightened and replacing a couple of brackets.

My question is; does anybody know where the sensor? for the airbags hook up and if I can take the front bumper off without setting off the airbag?
    Thanks

Not sure on the F350, but the F150 has the sensor back on the radiator support. Look for a yellow wire, that's the telltale sign of an airbag sensor. I'm sure it's not on the bumper though, so you're safe there. If you want to be real sure you don't set it off while working on the vehicle, disconnect the battery and wait about 5 minutes. There's a reserve built into the system, but it shouldn't last more than about 30 seconds - I'd wait the 5 minutes just to make sure. After that, there will be no power to the system.
