I found a piece of tow truck sling that i want to make a striping kit out of. I have a 52" turf tracer and want to attach it to the back of the deck. If any one has done this with good results can you let me know how far down below the deck you have it set and what cutting height you get the best stripes with

My 1/2" thick truck flap is about 5.25" tall and almost touches the concrete when I'm at 3.5" cutting height.

Try to cut your rubber so that it's about 5 or 6 inches tall, so that it's stiff and will excert some pressure on the turf, you'll get better than expected results.

When you get a chance will you measure the ammount of overhang ( bottom of deck to the bottom of the flap? My deck is currently off and i figure this would be the perfect time to do it, but i did not measure before i took it off
