alright Scag: out with the Pro-V gear drive walks already!

    My dealer has had them on the showroom floor for a month.

    Mabye they haven't hit your area yet....

    gear drive? Scag hasn't even made one that I know of. Hydro, yes.

    Some people can't afford hydro, sadly. Gear drives are great for guys just starting out.

    Why, because guys who are just starting dont know what there are missing? If you use a hydro for a week you would never go back to a gear drive.

    ^ I have a hydro 52 and a gear 48. For me, I don't see hydros being worth the extra money, and being much more efficient in that size because usually it is mostly wide open grass I'm cutting with it.

    36" cutting smaller yards is another story.

    I have a 36 gear and 36 hydro and a 36 rh. Weapong of choice is the stander after that its a hydro and if i really had to (its like pulling teeth) would use my gear drive. Everybody has an opinion but if you had a choice everyone would pick the hyro, open space or not.
