I would like to know if AMITROL-T is still available to kill Poison Ivy? I am going to have to kill some and would like to know what is the best stiff on the market to use. Years ago I used AMITROL-T and it did a very good job of killing the stiff. The nice thing about it was you could use it around other plant and not kill them.

If you can guild me in the right direction on what is best to kill Poison Ivy I would be very happy.

Amitrol T has been illegal for many years because it will cause thyroid damage to people and animals exposed to it. For vines such as poison ivy, Garlon ester applied to the stems as a basal bark treatment is selective and safe. You can paint the stems of a vine going up a tree without harming the tree.
