Yesterday, talked to one of the largest bids we have ever put in before on a very large retail shopping area with multiple buildings, light poles etc. It was aprox 80k+ and it was won by a local lawn care company that to the best of my knowledge has 2 years or less experience. much like a bid I lost last year that was quite smaller, they have absolutely no clue what they are getting into. almost 7000 feet of c-9s, most on concrete red clay roofs on STEEP pitches,180 light poles tightwrap with c-9s, multiple trees, wreaths, etc. I estimated 2-4 guys daily for nearly a month. I don't know what they bid, but the number does not bother me as much as the experience level. I almost feel sorry for the retail company. but like all things, folks deserve exactly what they get.
