This year we are experiencing a lot more damage to cords and strings of lights caused by animals chewing thru the wire. Any tricks or tips to help reduce this?

Have not really experienced it to the point of being a major problem.

Solutions might include, hot sauce/pepper or leave the lights on 24 hours, I think biting into a live wire would be a fine deterrent!!!!

I've had one happen to me on a Blue Spruce this year. The bottom set of Landscaper cord was on the ground and looked like a little trail going under the tree.. Cord was chewed in half.. Rabbit my guess.
