Sorry I know there are a million of these threads. Ok so I'm looking for a 60" ztr that will see about 5-7 hrs a week and thats it. I really dont want to spend the money on a new mower because I just dont want the payments.

    I found this Exmark

    1600 hrs
owner will put new seat on it
    runs and starts well
hyro's make some noise when starting but not too bad
tires new, just got oil change, filters....

    Is $2500 too much?

While looking I see I can get a bobcat 60" for around $7k, I realize it's not the premier mower but for the amount of work I have for it I think it would last forever.

For one thing, one tire may be new, but the other is not (Turf Master vs. Turf Saver tread design). This makes me wonder what else you're not being told about the deal.. Realistically, $2500 is about 4.2 months of payments on a new bobcat machine (that you mentioned) (assuming you only financed it for a year). In my opinion, IF this machine is as it seems/described, as long as it lasts a year, you can't go wrong.

Yeah I noticed the tires didnt match. The mower was bought at auction from a municipality surplus so I really dont know much about the history of the mower. Is the noise the hydros make something I need to worry about?

1600 hours is alot not knowing how it was taken care of. I might stear clear of that mower. Who knows what kind of shape the hydros are in, or if the engine will let go in 20 more hours.

Heritage has a dozen store's, I believe they have one in west Kansas.
They move equipment around all the time. If your close to the west border of Kansas maybe it's worth calling Jim at the Lawrence branch.

I would think so, unless it's the typical hydro whine (ie:move it around at near idle and you'll hear what I mean). ANYTHING you hear other than that is certainly cause for concern.
