Picture of my new Exmark 48 belt. Boy Exmark has increased in quality quite a bit since my 1986 model.

Nice. but I think you might not like the belt drive, I know I wish I had got a hydro instead.

I have had numerous Hydros. I myself use the walker anyhow. It just isn't cost effective to buy Hydros for your workers. I actually traded in a Hydro for the Belt drive. It was just too touchy of a hydro unit.

I have a 36" Metro, which means fixed deck and belt drive. Never again. Adjusting the cutting height takes five minutes, maybe more, and my hands are going to be way shot through by the end of the season. Next mower will be a 48 or larger, probably walk-behind, but certainly not pistol grips and no way in H-E-double toothpicks am I getting a belt drive again.

I agree with Mark McC, we have a belt drive and it just isn't productive enough on small lawns where there is alot of turning. My next mower will be a hydro! And we may even trade in our belt drive for a hydro.
