I run 23hp Kawisaki engines and 20 hp kohler. Was recently told to use 10w-30w car oil? Always used sae30, then switched to the 5w30w when the temps dropped in November...........Can one really use car oil?

If you look at the attachment in my post to your other thread that is from the Kohler Service manual and it does state automotive grade oil is fine and it should be 10w30.
Your Kawasaki is fine with the 5w30 or 30w.
