I run a 5000 psi 5 gam machine any hose will work,to be honest if i had to do it from the start a hot water machine cleans so much faster, but i did run a 4000 psi 4 gal cold water machine for 3 years and did alright, what ever you buy i hope it makes you money it's very good in the off season.

The more high pressure hose you have, the less you will have to move your PW unit. If you are running a garden hose directly to the PW unit, I suggest getting the best quality garden hose you can find. The kind of hose that does not kink. If your hose kinks, you restrict the flow of water into your pump and could cause it to overheat due to lack of water.

For the cold water pressure washers, you can always install a hot box later for the hot water. Hot washer is always best. Think of it like you're cleaning dishes.

Got the 4000 PSI 4gpm pressure washer from the Co. Mow Pro recommened. Total cost was $1400-something. That was delivered to my house via frieght. The PW was $1089 but I added the hose reel, turbo nozzle, 4' extension, 1 gal soap. I'm very happy with the purchase so far.

No doubt! This thing is very powerful. I have to turn the pressure way down...
