Does anyone out there know if we, as members of LawnSite, are able to gain any 'extra' discount on equipment?
I know it's a way away right now, but next year when I start my Lawn Care business, I'm pretty sure that I will be purchasing an ExMark ride 52"on mower and a Wells Cargo 18' trailer. I already have a tractor mower and other stuff, but these two items will be my main purchase, and it is always good to save some $$$.
Before I go into the dealers, I thought I would ask this question!
    Thanks in advance.

    Jeff;)

  2. Your kidding right?

Why should you get a discount?

I am your customer asking you far a discount!!!!

Mow my lawn for 25% off!!!!

What you got from LS was the info on best mower your money can buy.

    You want more?

That is a great idea.............if we had to pay dues to join this site, but as it stands we dont. As far as im concerned, mower MFGs need to increase their price of machines to incridible levels so that only real businesses can afford to purchase quality machines. That way we can weed out the wanna be fags that try this part time and ruin our reputation.

Watch your posts and reply to the question on topic, a simple question was asked, sarcastic replies are not needed!

First of all, what are "incridible" levels?

How do you define "real businesses"?

I think you will find that the backbone of any democratic country is made up from the efforts of small businesses, sole traders included!

Before starting up my Lawn Care business, I owned and operated a printing business before retiring this year. When I started that business 20 years ago, I was a 'one man band' and retired employing 27 people, with a turnover in excess of $2,000,000.

Does that fall into the catagory of real businesses?

Democratic is what we are, and good dialog is great, but I have to agree with the Moderator with his comments on sarcastic remarks.

What reputation do you have that might be ruined by me asking a simple question on discount recognition?

    Have a nice day!
    :p

  6. You have the same right to ask for a discount as a customer and you get the same reply they get.

You all want to by everything at the lowest price you can get, Buy the cheapest mower cause money is a factor, and that is the tool for your trade. Then you tell BS like discount for customers, OK:(

The word discount is not in my vocabulary, BAD WORD, forget it even exsists!!!!

Reputation; who cares. I am not out to impress anyone.

I just want to say that my comments were not intended to be sarcastic. I will appologize for getting off topic.

Seems like I have caused a stir using the 'discount' word!

Thanks to all who have 'commented', and to MacLawnCo, apology accepted!
