Can a convicted felon posess a business license in the state he committed the crime and run a lawn business? If not, what if he goes to another state?

No, it's not illegal. Also, if they give you any slack, explain how hard it is to get a job when you're a convicted felon. You're trying to turn your life around, etc.

    No, it's not illegal though.

No its not illegal. You can be a convicted felon in the state of Delaware and own a business.

On most states depending on what you were convicted of will determine if you can get a business license. Example: If you were convicted of drunk driving you couldn't get a liquor license. Can't think of any crime that would keep you out of the lawn care biz.

It is predicted by my lawyer that I'll get 1.5-4 years... sentencing is July 22nd. I'm trying to figure my options ahead of time. I'm not mentioning what the crime is.
