My first machine was the Scag, 52" cut. I bought it used, everything works fine except hour meter and safety switches. Only one that works is seat switch. I replaced all four tires and fixed oil leak in oil cooler hose. My second great find was the 61" Ferris, picked it up with 600 hours on meter. Would not run in high idle. After changing some parts (and some help on this site) found out the muffler was bad. I replaced it and away she went. I replaced the hydro hoses just because they had some wear on them (braids were showing), new belts and new shock absorbers on hydro controls. I believe both are year 2000 units.

    Thanks guys

I bought the light kit for the Toro Z. D@mn expensive, $180, plus I still need to figure out a way to install it. The kit didn't come with any kind of directions at all.

I know this is an old thread, but I was wondering if anyone had any removable lights on there mower. Kinda like how you remove the lights on a bass boat or something

I put some light on my Toro Z150 last Fall. I don't have any pics right now, but could possibly get some in the next few days. I don't like drilling any extra holes if I don't have to so I mounted mine on the front of the foot rest plate and routed the wires along the frame back to a switch that I installed next to the ignition just below the seat and then to the battery. So the lights can be turned on if the engine is not running. I may change this to prevent the lights from draining the battery if they would happen to get left on.

hey guys the easiest thing to do is to go to wal-mart and by you a $20 dollar fog light set. it comes with every thing you need including the toggle switch and you can wire it straight off of the battery. i put some on my John Deere 717-A and thier as bright as headlights on a car. can't beat it for $20.

my simplicity has 4 55w halogen headlights built in, i added 2 55w fog lights to it, one on each side of the mower deck. lights up the entire yard. this spring when i get my Ferris ZTR, i'll add a similar setup.
